Looking back on 2022…

In July 2022, the Mayor of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Honourable George T. Bynum, bestowed the highest honour of the City of Tulsa; the key to the City to Her Excellency, Amb. Amina Smaila.

Tulsa is known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere and humane disposition of its people.

Amb. Smaila expressed gratitude to the Mayor as Tulsa has continued to provide a greatly sought destination for Nigerians coming to the US, either to study or live.

Tulsa’s strength in exploring further collaboration in education exchanges amongst other sectors such as aerospace, energy, health care, technology, manufacturing and transportation offers new opportunities which were the highlights of their discussion.

Her Excellency stated her resolve to strengthen relations between Nigeria and Tulsa and the state of Oklahoma in various areas.
